Otosclerosis – This disease affects the movement of the tiny bones in the middle ear causing a conductive hearing loss that is usually treated with surgery. Meniere’s disease – The cause of this disease is unknown, but symptoms usually include fluctuating hearing loss, vertigo and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
