This Summer Animals Need Water Pots – Dr. A.S. Rao Nagar, Sainikpuri

Zone Adds as part of its CSR Initiatives launched a project titled “this summer animals need you” the core objectives of the campaign is to evoke public opinion about providing some outlets for animals other than domestic ones to have access to clean drinking water. Due to the increasing mercury levels in the twin cities the municipal authorities have given a special alert to people to take adequate protection by consuming nothing less than 6 – 7 liters of water per day.
In this context one can imagine the plight of street dogs and cattle which wander on the streets due to lack of access to quench their thirst. As part of the initiative Dr. A.S. Rao nagar and Sainikpuri have been chosen to execute the project special messages and door to door sensitization was initiated besides donating specially designed pots to be place in compound walls, balconies, and terraces.
All the households where the pots have been given have volunteered to maintain and fill the pots on a regular basis so that birds and stray animals generally frequenting such places can quench their thirst. The campaign was a huge success and in order give further impetus to take the initiative to the next level Zone Adds would welcome all animal lovers who would like to extend their possible support by volunteering for this cause.
