Surya Bhagawan is worshipped by all Hindu communities who is considered to be the supreme force who can bestow the mankind in many ways like good health, wealth , Knowledge and  confidence besides overalll  prosperity. The
Ancient practice of Yoga is also linked to the sacred Surya Namaskaras which many people follow religious cha nting various names with which Surya Bhagawan is worshipped. In Hyderabad there are very few Surya temples and this temple was initiated by Sri. Maharajji more than six decades ago according to the temple sources. The temple is located in a serene atmosphere which had lot of greenery in the past butt today except the temple premises much of the open land has developed into housing societies.

 

The surya bhagawan temple apart from Surya Bhagawan has four more prominent hindu deities  in the entrance one can find a Ganapathi statue carved on a rock and adjacent to that is the Sree Sathyanarayana Swamy devalyam and next to Sur ya temple which has a background of a rock and then near the Ashwad vruksham is the Shiva Lingam in the open place. The next principal deities in the temple premises include Saraswathi Devalayam and Nagadevatha Alayam.

 

 

 

Important days : Sankranthi and Radha Sapthami are celebrated very sacredly in this temple. And Every Sunday the temple is visited by scores of devotees who came early in the morning to have the darshan of the lord and many devotees  take part in 108 pradakshanams where they  come to appease the lord to fulfill their special vows and wishes. The temple has inscriptions of all the special prayers related to surya Bhagawan like the famous Adithya Hrudhayam, Suryasthakam and many vedic hyms. It is indeed a must visit traditionally maintained temple with natural surrounding also which has a goushala where the cattle are fed with leafy vegetables and feed by all the devotees who come here to seek the blessings of the lord. The ideal time to visit this temple is on Sunday which is very significant to surya bhagawam before the sun rise as the sun rises from the east the sunrays directly fall on the main temple and the devotees who come to seek the blessings of the lord can experience different vibrations which can only be experienced upon a visit to this one of the oldest and prominent surya devalyams in Hyderabad.
