Potluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy was a well known sage of the sixteen century. He has been the numero uno future teller, and exponent of “Kala Gnanam” which is full of poems. He educated the masses about how the future society would be especially involving subjects like Marraige, caste, politics, and Social relationships by chanting poems with future predictions wherein most of his predictions came true and continue to happen even today. Also known as Brahmam garu he has huge following owing to his powerful command on future predictions.
Yaganti at Banagadapalli in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh State is where he preached his disciples and followers. But today even though we experience most of the predictions which this great sage has foreseen and his principles and theories are very much happening its rare to find his temple. One such rare temple is very much in our zone. Lot of followers of this great sage offer prayers to “Veera Brahmendra Swamy” at his matam which is 100 metres from Malkajgiri Railway Station. The Matam is the initiative of Late Sri. Malliah who was an employee with the Malkajgiri municipality.
