Goodwill Health Care Society and research foundation is a Non Profitable charitable society established in the year 2000 by Dr. D.S.Mitta a qualified Ophthalmic surgeon whose mission is to provide efficient eye care at affordable cost to all people. With a vision to reach out to people Prema Eye care was set up with a two prong approach firstly to provide appropriate eye care to the general public in their eye care centre which is fully equipped with imported eye testing equipment, and lenses of top quality brands. Over all Prema Eye care and Research foundation has complete services of best quality including post surgery ward facilities and medicines of high quality to its patients.
Apart from eye care to general public as part of its social responsibility Good will Health care society undertakes health camps in four districts of telangana namely nalgonda, Medak , Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad where they conduct health camps which majorly focus on Eye check up camps and special care for the expected mothers and spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS among the tribal population.
According to Mrs prema in the urban settings every Tuesday and Friday in a week “ we cover schools under our program Free school screening camps” the objective is to spread awareness about eye care and promote health seeking behavior among children from school level itself. Dr. D.S.Mitta makes it a point to cover all the mandals on a regular basis covering all their target groups who are benefited by the medical services of Goodwill Health Care Society on the whole Prema Eye care is doing a splendid work in rural settings and interior mandals of Telangana districts where majority of people below poverty line do not have access to Health care.
