Devi Nagar in Neredmet Division Gets Swatch Colony Award

Devi Nagar Welfare Association was awarded the best colony and a Model Colony by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Starting from maintaining Greenery and cleanliness throughout the colony with a collective effort by all the residents who believe in maintaining harmony with the nature this was possible. The colony which falls in the Neredmet division has peaceful and well-maintained roads with trees on both sides of the roads which will impress any visitor to the area.
The majority of the residents in the colony belong to Army, Railways besides other residents who work in the private sector with 300 households and a population of near 2500 people. The major reason for their success story is the strong commitment of the association members who focus on Tree Plantation, cleanliness initiatives from time to time which earned the colony the title “Swatch Colony” award.
