Special Home For Special Children by NVF
In a Developing country like India gender ratio which means the number of boys to girls at any given time is abysmally low. This alarming trend is owing to the preference given to males and constant disparity to the girl child which is affecting social equilibrium. The issues of girl child continue to hinder our development to a great extent.
New Vision foundation is one such registered voluntary Organization currently running a Special Home for Orphans and Orphan and vulnerable children infected with HIV in Krishna Nagar Road No-5. Currently there are about 50 girls in the age group of 6-18 who are being taken care by NVF all the beneficiaries are provided Education, Food and shelter in this project in coordination with Child Welfare Committee.
Background of NVF: New Vision Foundation is a NGO born out of deliberations by a team of service minded people who were focused to extend educational support to the downtrodden in Hayathnagar under the banner of courtesy Foundation. An initiative of Mr. Samson Paul Raj who is the president and Mr. Malkanna who worked in various public Health interventions including HIV/AIDS. New Vision Foundation was established with a strong focus to provide shelter home’s for Orphans and HIV infected children initially though the home was meant for both boys and girls in accordance to latest government Order they had to run separate homes for Boys and girls and hence for the last three years they are running a separate home for girls in Krishnanagar HB colony Moulali.
Services Of NVF Apart from providing shelter and food the prime focus of NVF is to provide quality education to the girls in the home for which special initiative is taken and most of the school going kids are admitted in Sri Vaishnavi Olympiad School and the girls above school level are admitted in junior colleges in the same locality. Since more than 16 young girls in this special home are infected with HIV on a periodical basis the Vice President of NVF Mr.Malkanna said that “ We take the infected children to Niloufer Hospital for medicines and ART consultations.
Sustenance For Maintainence: Since managing 50 children under one roof involves huge budget to meet their Education, Health and daily needs NVF takes up CCTV installations and the revenue accrued is routed to meet the budgets to run this Special. Any voluntary donors who wish to extend their possible support to this NGO are welcome.
