Grand Bonalu Celebrations In Mudugullu Ammavari Temple – Neredmet

The Temple Committee of Mudugullu is gearing up to celebrate the traditional Bonalu festival in a grand way and according to the sources around 8 lakhs rupees has been spent to renovate the temple to mark this auspicious occasion. 
The Bonalu festival which is going to be celebrated on the 16th is going to be a grand occasion for which the Mother Goddess will be decorated with 31 kg silver ornaments and all the idols in the temple are painted with attractive colors as this year the number of devotees visiting the temple is expected to be in huge numbers.
The festival will mark its beginning from the 3rd July 2017 and till 15th of the month, the traditional gattam will take its procession in all the prime streets in around the temple. Arrangements have been made for the devotees to give their offerings in the form of naivedyam near the Naga devatha idol in the temple premises.
