Ashta Bhujadevi Temple, is one of the oldest temples in Anandbagh, Malkajgiri maintained by Rashtra Sevika Samithi under the aegis of Rani Rudrama Devi Trust from the early 1980’s. The land where the temple is located has been donated by a generous couple Sri. B.Varada Reddy and Smt. B.Ramadevi who wanted to donate the land exclusively to construct the temple of Ashta Bujadevi who is a symbol of Shakthi bestowing all her devotees with peace and prosperity and enable them to follow the principles of Dharma. According to Smt. N.Prabhavathi the current president of the Trust “ The temple has initiated lot of service activities over the years besides devotional prayers which are attended by scores of devotees in the near by locality. A well maintained Gaushala welcomes the devotees in the temple.
All the prominent Hindu festivals are celebrated with great fervor by the people over here. The nine day Dasara Utsavalu are a treat to watch with mega devotional and cultural programs in the temple. The daily rituals begin with archana and Abhishekam to the Temple goddess. Chandi Homam on every Pournami and Samuhika Lalitha Sahastranama Parayanam are special to this temple. Like Wise Sivaratri and Sri Ramanavami and cultural programs at regular intervals attract the localites to this temple. Over all a must visit temple where devotees can experience the inner peace upon seeking the blessings Ashta Bujadevi.Back side to this temple is Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh Malkajgiri District office.
