The Arya Vyshya Community in Malkajgiri is the body which is a closely knit unit of service minded families majority of whom are traders and Merchants in the locality for more than three decades. The Malkajgiri Aryavyshya sangam united in the year and formed a elected body procured a piece of land in old malkajgiri and laid the foundation to initiate a temple in the name of Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari devi in the year 2010 and susequently with the concerted efforts of the temple trust funds were mobilized through voluntarty donations and on 6th June 2011 the temple was open to public after performing various rituals related to vigraha Prathistapana by his holiness Sri Sri Sri Nithya Shudda Nandagiri Swamiji of Malayala Swamiji Ashram in Shadnagar.
Various Dieties in the temple: Facing the entrance of the temple is the idol of Lord Vinayaka in a seated position blessing all the devotees who visit the temple. According to the temple priest Srri Sridhar Sarma special pujas are performed on Sankarstha Chaturdi which is a auspicious day to worship and receive the blessings of sree Ganesh bhagavan. Sri Madamshetty Ashok Kumar his wife Smt. Swarajya Lakshmi and their family members were instrumental in donating funds for the installlation of this idol in the temple.
Exactly in the right corner of the temple is the Sri kanyaka parmeswari idol which is bedecked with flowers turmeric and sandal paste. The goddess who is reverred by most of the community members and devotees is very powerful and apart from weekly and daily sevas special pujas are performed to the goddess during Dasara and Karthika Masam. Dr. Kasturi Raja Narasimha and his wife Smt. Jayalakshmi contributed for the installation of the idol in this temple.
The temple also has a shivalyam next to the ammavaru idol and special pujas are performed during Monday’s in a week and Masa Sivarathri which is considered to be auspicious to Lord shiva. Sri Juluri Ramulu Smt. Anjamma, Juluri Srinivas and Smt Aruna contributed the resources required to installation of Shiva lingam in the temple in memory of their late parents Sri Jakkiah and Smt Sathyamma. Sri Srinivas also happens to be the president of the Arya vyshya sangam in Malkajgiri.
The temple also has a Saibaba mandir apart from special harathis to saibaba devotees visit the saibaba mandir on the Thursday’s during the week. Sri S.Bhikshapathiah and Smt. S. Padma contributed towards the installation of Marble carved Saibaba Idol in the temple.
The temple also has a kalyana Mandapam which is given on rent for various functions like weddings and other auspicious occassions to families and the proceeds are used by the temple committee for the maintainence and development of the temple. Sri P.Rama Mohan Rao and Smt. P. Veena Kumari contributed towards the initiation of this kalyana Mandapam. In a short span of time the temple has developed into a popular place of worship in this zone. The temple trust also undertakes welfare activities in the temple by organizing health camps and skill building among women as part of social responsibility.
