Tirumala Nagar in RTC Colony is located just adjacent to the hill which extends almost up Moulali dargah and Kaman. This colony has a sizable hindu population and they were instrumental in constructing Sri Kanaka Durga Malleswara Swamy Devalayam in the year 2006.
The temple has great significance mainly because of the unique direction in which the shiva linga has been placed and according to the main preist of the temple Sri Kameshwara Rao “ in any shiva temple the Lingam will be East facing which is a norm as per vedic standards but since of the Panchamukas of shiva Sadjyothamaya lingam will be always in the Paschima Mukam “ he also added that whoever performs special puja’s related to planetary doshas and shanthi upon completion of the pooja if they engage in performing special abhishekam to the lord shiva in this temple they can be assured of miraculous changes and their wishes will be fulfilled for a peaceful life free from troubles.

Various Deities in the temple: Along with Sri Ganpathy and Sri Veera Anjaneya swamy the temple has Subramnaya Swamy Durga Ammavaru, Uma Maheswara, Navagrahas and recently the temple committee along with other donors in the locality have installed the idol of Sri Lord Venkatewara by negotiating with the GHMC to allot a piece of land in the back side of the temple and creating a separate entrance.
