Veda Bhavan located in Neredmet started the auspicious Sri Shankara Jayanthi Utsavalu on a grand scale. Incidentally, the Veda Bhavan is observing its 49th Annual celebrations and 124th Kanchi Peetham Acharyulu mahotsavalu are being celebrated together by the organizing committee of Veda Bhavan. As Part of the celebrations on Thursday the festivities began with Ganapathi Homam, Avahanthi Homam, shatha Maharudra Kalasa Sthapana, Mahanyasa Purvaka Ekadashi rudrabhishekam, Prasthanathraya Bashya Parayana. In the afternoon Deeparadhana and Mantrapushpam.
In the afternoon Deeparadhana and Mantrapushpam were recited by Vedic pundits of the Veda Bhavan. In the evening Rudra Kramarchana and Chaturvedi swasthi were organized people of all age groups sang devotional songs and devotees were delighted with the Vedic chantings throughout the day.
