Local Lad Sai Varun shines in Vijay Merchant under – 16 Tournament
Hyderabad: Local lad Y. Sai Varun scored a scintillating 157 of 200 balls smashing 22 fours along with Shiva who also scored 132 with 9 fours for the Hyderabad team. The under-16 Vijay Merchant Tournament was played against Goa last Wednesday at Hyderabad Gymkhana ground. Hyderabad team piled up 342 in 78 overs surpassing the rival team Goa’s score 242 All out in 102.1 overs. It was indeed a great knock from the young lad who displayed wonderful stroke play and a promising cricketer to watch out for in the days to come. Wishing Y. Sai Varun all the best to bring more laurels to Hyderabad and India in future.
