Education plays a vital role in shaping the younger generation into useful members of the society. As wisely said by Dr. Nelson Mandela “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” but unfortunately a high percentage of young students are deprived of the opportunity to pursue their education owing to poverty and sudden death of parents and lack of financial support compels such young boys to fall into deviant path and eventually become a bane to the society. The Home for the orphan students was established near phase-1 industrial area cherlapally with the sole objective of extending a helping hand to all such young students who are either partial or total orphans. The home is a noble initiative of few compassionate service minded individuals who are in top notch positions in the society and who experienced this trauma as young lads as they were hunching on similar homes for their survival and never lost their fervent desire to pursue their studies. As a gesture to give back to the society what society has given them these individual formed a charitable institution which is a registered body and today it is a full fledged home with all amenities which can accommodate 50 students.
Objectives: The home for orphan students provides free boarding, lodging books and other resources to the poor and deserving orphan students who have strong desire to pursue higher education. The home is extending services to such student who follow a strict code of conduct moral values are imparted to students from their senior counterparts and already the home has achieved stupendous success as many such needy students are studying in Graduation, Engineering, B pharmacy, Diploma and other streams.
Governance: The criteria for admission into the home is purely based on the Need and for those who want to pursue their education irrespective of caste, region, and religion. All the inmates are assigned specific day-day tasks like cooking, serving, purchase of provisions, cleaning washing, maintenance of accounts and upkeep of the premises. All these tasks are monitored from time to time by the executive body who oversee and guide these inmates into responsible citizens.
Resource Appeal: Every one interested in supporting such a cause can become a Member, Life Member or a Patron by adopting students and sponsoring their education. Many philanthropists have donated for constructing the building to accommodate these young students. It may be noted that this home got income tax exemption under 80 (G) (5) (V1) of the I.T Act, 1961. And all donors can avail this facility and make a difference in the lives of all inmates of our Home.
