Sri Durga Old age home located in Dayanand Nagar is the first Old age home in malkajgiri established in the year 2010. Mr. Durga Rao and Mrs. lakshmi Prabhavathi who have more than a decade experience in health care settings came up with the idea of starting a aged home with complete health care facilities for the aged and after painstaking research in this project they started Sri durga home for the aged with a 40 bed facility with trained paramedical staff, who are well knowledgeable in the field of geriatrics.
According to Sri Durga rao Managing Director “Unlike other conventional old aged homes which provide residential care alone we at Durga foundation provide specialized care to the aged who are terminally ill and bedridden and that is the reason why lot of families who are unable to pay medical attention to the senior citizens in their homes look up-to us to handle the crisis” The aged home is well maintained and a homely atmosphere prevails in the entire home. In order to take care of specific health requirements of the senior citizens the center is well equipped and has whole range of services like Physiotherapy, Bedsore Healing therapy, Doctor, ambulance (in case the inmate needs hospital care) apart from 15 member staff working in shifts to take care of the senior citizens.
