Prajapita Brahma kumaris is a nonprofitable international spiritual organization having its presence in 115 countries spread across the globe. The head quarters of Brahma Kumaris is in Mount Abu, Rajastan. The fundamental aim of Brahma kumaris is to spread the practice of Raja yoga meditation a step to self transformation. Raja Yoga Meditation helps individuals to develop constructive attitudes and responses to life. Initially all the freshers who join the center for meditation course will go through a 7 day program which will help them gain knowledge about spiritual understanding of Self and Connection with the supreme soul.
In Hyderabad there are about 12 branches of this spiritual organization of which the one located in R.K. Nagar has been established in the year 1979. According to sister Rajeshwari who is associated with the activities of this meditation center since 1990 “ Our aim is to create a value based society all our programs are designed to help individuals realize the importance of Karma Philosophy, supreme soul, knowledge about time, Geetha gyan to name a few” She also added that in order to spread the importance of meditation The Brahma Kumaris organise spiritual exhibitions which brings many new persons into their centres and unlike other commercial establishments all the courses are free of cost.
The Brahma Kumaris are doing a yeoman’s service to the society in addressing major social evils like Drug abuse, marital discord, Addiction to vices many individuals could mend their lives by taking part in the motivational sessions which are basically self help programs so that they come out of their problems and start life afresh with a rejuvenated spirit. The Brahma Kumaris on a regular basis conducts mentoring sessions through inspirational training programs for school level to Corporate sector trainings transforming individuals and enabling them inculcate healthy habits and lead a stress free life. The Brahma kumaris on the whole have 19 wings like Womens wing, Youth wing, Science and Engineering, Education and Sports wing etc. the objectives of the Brahma Kumaris is to spread tolerance, We feeling and make the world realize that we are one and self realization is the ultimate experience that one can attain by associating with the activities of this esteemed organization.
