ABHAYA Grand launch of Internatinal Womens Day Celebrations!
Abhaya a NGO working for the empowerment of women has launched a series of programs starting from 7th March 2017 in Annupuram community hall mbilizing more than 400 women enterpreneurs and women activists to particiapte on the eve of International womens day. The theme of the event was to generate awareness on the issues realted t women and child traficking. On the 12th February 2017 the NGO launched a Road show 2k walk on generating awareness about safety and traffic awareness. On the 16th February 2017 Abhaya organized a special camp to generate awareness among women about breast cancer . On the 21st and 22nd February 2017 Abhaya orgnaized a sports meet involving orphan children and women. On the 3rd March 2017 Abhaya has orgnized a women enterprenurship orientation program to empower women to become self reliant and economically independent. The womenns dy celebrations concluding ceremony was orgnized in a grand scale in Anupuram community hall involving more than 400 women who voiced their opinion to protect the rights of women and safe guar the interest of women. Director of Abhaya Mrs. D. Usha spearheaded the show to highlight the issues related to woemn, gneder bias and child trafficking. Abhaya indeed ahs set an example for voluntary organizations working on the issues of women and girl child.
