Why Sports and Studies Should Go Hand in Hand
Why Sports and Studies Should Go Hand in Hand :
Ping Pong SPARS and Tennis Academy in Yapral is a wonderful example of passion and perseverance. Founder Ashish Chakravarty shared his inspiring journey from corporate life to building young sports champions. He believes that every child is different. Some children enjoy sitting in classrooms and studying for long hours, while others are naturally active and love sports, games, and outdoor activities. The academy started in 2020 with great hopes, but the Coronavirus pandemic forced it to close within a few months. Despite this challenge, the academy bounced back with strong support from sporting personalities, parents, children, and the local community. Today, SPARS continues to encourage young players to discover their talent and enjoy sports with confidence and discipline.
Ashish Chakravarty also explained that sporting spirit is more important than simply winning medals. He said that victory and defeat are both part of every game and teach valuable life lessons. Inspired by Indian sports stars like Saina Nehwal, he encourages children to dream big and represent the country through sports. He strongly believes that studies and sports can go hand in hand because every child has twenty four hours in a day and can plan time wisely. He also stresses the importance of counselling parents and creating awareness so that children are encouraged to play and grow through sports. Regular participation in table tennis and other games improves fitness, concentration, teamwork, leadership, and self confidence, helping children become healthy, responsible, and balanced individuals prepared for future challenges through every stage ahead.
