Psychological research has proved that most of the right hander’s tend to be guided by their left brain and similarly all high achievers tend to have significant reflexes owing to a strong usage of right brain activity. This right brain activity can be conditioned if proper steps are initiated from tender age especially through series of activities which can sharpen the right brain activity which has proven to be a tremendous tool in honing the skills among children. Small Wonders International Play School focuses on understanding the child’s traits at the enrollment stage itself as it gives the trainers a thorough idea to devise an academic plan based on the innate potentials of the kid. Since it is summer time where the kids are relatively free away from academic burden we at Small wonders have come out with a unique program to enrich the potential among children through our novel program called “Brain Gym” which is one of its kind program aimed at stimulating right brain through our unique program.
The answer to the layman who thinks why we need to stimulate right brain is very simple “because it is the future.” research in learning and development in child has proven that long term memory, creativity, fast input and processing, visualization, big picture thinking, intuition are the most needed abilities of the 21st century. And all these are associated with right brain activity.
Right brain education is essential pre-requisite to accelerate your child’s learning, providing a cutting edge in life especially in today’s competitive world. Dr. Roger Sperry was awarded the Nobel Prize for his split brain theory in 1981. He established distinctive features and characteristics of each side of the brain. Although two sides of the brain are designed to work together, each has a vastly unique personality and abilities. Indian education system focuses on left brain development but the right brain is the super brain.
If we stimulate the right brain and use it, then the outcome would be a super intelligent brain just like a muscle, our brains works on the principle of “use it or lose it”. We need to exercise it through stimulation, to preserve it.
We have done a thorough research on right brain stimulation and developed “Brain Gym” program. This unique program is designed through power packed, and fun-filled activities to make learning a joyful experience.
The list of activities to stimulate right brain include:
dance, music therapy, exercises, memory games, art, and craft, balancing hand-eye coordination, visualization, mnemonics, photographic memory, speed reading, speed listening, story telling/ role play, high-speed flash cards and last but not the least ESP/ESL games.
Benefits of the program:
These exercises will enhance the memory, concentration and absorption capacities of the child. It also enhances creativity, Emotional intelligence and sensory functions of the brain. Last but not the least it enhances self-confidence, positive thinking to tap their hidden potential.
