Violence towards children is one of the harsh realities faced by Indian societies. With regular reports of rape and countless other forms of abuse, it is high time we did something as a society to change this picture.
Project AHWAAHAN is one such initiative by the Shriram Charitable Trust that is helping make a difference across India. By working with various government schools across the country to implement gender sensitization and self-defense techniques in both boys and girls, they are building a generation of citizens who believe in a more gender-equal society and work towards realizing it.
