A Run for Change: How Hyderabad Embraced Ek Nayi Disha :
Samvidhan Shakti Run – 3K & 5K in Hyderabad brought together children, youth, adults and elders in a powerful celebration of India’s constitutional values. Under the motivating motto “Ek Nayi Disha”, the run encouraged every citizen to uphold justice and strengthen the spirit of unity. People from all walks of life—students, professionals, parents, senior citizens and fitness lovers—joined hands to express their pride in the Constitution of India. National Constitution Day in India is celebrated every year on 26th November. The Constitution was drafted by a distinguished committee that included Dr. B. R. Ambedkar (Chairman), N. Gopalaswami Ayyangar, Alladi Krishnaswamy Ayyar, K. M. Munshi, Syed Mohammed Saadulla, B. L. Mitter (later succeeded by N. Madhava Rau), and D. P. Khaitan (later succeeded by T. T. Krishnamachari). The event created awareness about the guiding principles that shape our nation: liberty, equality and fraternity. More than just a fitness activity, the run reminded participants that the Constitution is not a document to be remembered only on special days, but a living guide for everyday life, promoting fairness, dignity and respect for all. Streets of Hyderabad echoed with energy as runners moved with purpose, celebrating democratic values with every step.
The Samvidhan Shakti Run also highlighted how simple actions like participating in a community run can strengthen civic responsibility. Families ran together, encouraging children to understand their rights, duties and the importance of social harmony. Youth groups participated with enthusiasm, showing their commitment to building a more inclusive and just society. Elders brought wisdom and inspiration, motivating younger generations to value the freedom they enjoy today. As Hyderabad came alive with colourful jerseys, cheerful volunteers and motivating slogans, the event proved that unity and awareness can bring positive change. Let us all continue to honour the ideals of our Constitution and work together for a bright, equal and empowered India.
